Greetings, HIBIKE members, and welcome to our spring edition of the Bulletin – where the season of renewal brings fresh opportunities for cycling adventures and Easter celebrations alike!
Winter Bike Workshop
Highlighting the Winter Bike Workshop in Hilo alongside Kalihi Valley Instructional Bike Exchange (KVIBE)! What a fantastic turnout with 18 enthusiastic young riders enjoying two days of pedal-powered fun. A huge thank you to Hawaii Dept of Health, Hawai‘i Public Health Institute, and HBL for their unwavering support. And a special acknowledgment to Mayor Mitch Roth for joining us on our group ride! Let's keep the wheels turning and spread the joy of biking!

tIPS & tRICKS
HiBike Card
Once you purchase a membership, a complimentary HIBIKE Pass will be sent to your Hawaii residential address to streamline your experience with HIBIKE. The HIBIKE Pass is the quickest way to unlock a bike! If you have not already received your HiBike card you can call our call center at +1 888 859 2453 to start the process.
How to use:
- Locate the card slot - it is situated on the left side of each HIBIKE Stop docking point.
- Insert your HIBIKE Pass swiftly, ensuring the arrow is inserted first.
- Wait for the lights to transition from yellow to green, then remove your HIBIKE! If the light turns red, or if you don't retrieve the bike promptly, simply try again at the same dock or another one. Your rental time won't begin until the bike is removed.
